cant get engine to fire

Hi I am ready to fire up my Farmall A everything is back together, it turns great. The fuel is running right (fixed the sediment bowl gasket. The mag is lined up etc. I just cant seem to get it to fire.

anybody have a list of possible problems to check. I dont know much about electrical/ ignition systems.

First thing to do is make sure you have a good brite blue/white spark. Also pull the drain plug out of the bottom of the carb to make sure you have gas in the carb. If you have gas and spark then your timing maybe off or you have the firing order wrong

What old says is correct.. also check for a good ground! No ground no fire.

Thanks everybody I will work on it tommarow and let you know how it comes. The plugs are a little old and I'm not sure about one of the wires .
