if I asked this before. When you shim the
knives on your baler do you shim both
stationary and plunger the same? Or do you
shim one more than the other?
 
I have owned 2 different balers (ford and Deutz-Fahr) and on both you could only shim the stationary knife. The plunger knife just bolted on and didn't require shimming.
 
As rmg said. The left side bearing rail is adjustable up and down to square up the stationary blade. Also a bearing running on the vertical surface that's on an eccentric to adjust the side play. After they're set shim the stationary knife parallel to the plunger knife, about 1/32 clearance.
