Hey guys Santa just got me the deluxe seat for my 57 model 130 in grey canvas. As it is not always undercover I was wondering what is recommended to treat this with to keep it waterproof and or from molding and accumulating mildew

You need to get a galvanized metal wash tub or plastic protein tub and throw it over it. Anything plastic tarp or bag-like will leak eventually and if it is remotely tight it won't let moisture get away. An old protein tub or something like that can get a breeze under it to dry off after a humid day.

A barn with a good roof is the best waterproofing treatment. Nothing you spray it with will last long in the elements, and sooner or later you'll end up neglecting it.

Second best is some sort of cover. If you choose plastic keep an eye on it too, because they tend to degrade from UV exposure, turn brittle, and shatter. If you should choose a galvanized wash tub make sure you drill a weep hole in the bottom rim to let the water drain.

I don't know how long this would last but it might keep it clean longer.
Scotch Guard Fabric protector.
Says it blocks liquids and blocks stains.
