carb back on

ok got my carb back on thinks for the pics of the local of jets. runs good still need to adjust it agian. Took it out for a spin to a buddy house and on the way back ran out of gas. ? is how long should a tractor run on a gal or so of gas. I went about 8 miles and ran out. only had the fuel turn on a turn or so. fuel bowel/ shut off is new. along with the carb rebuit. just a ? not unhappy with the out come of the carb or how it runs also it a 47

Depends on how hard you are working it but should burn about a gallon to gallon and 1/2 per hour.

Happy to help ya out with the pic., and glad you got it done, with out goofin' up the jets. That can be a PITA, if ya goof up, and end up having to drill and tap. 8)

walko........a 47 is a 3-speed 2N and hi-gear is about 8mph at full throttle. You should gitt about 1-gal per hr plowing in 2nd gear. Yer 10-gal gastank has an 1-gal reserve accessable by opening yer under-the-tank glass bowl valve to 4-turns 'stedda' the normal 2-turns. That shouldda gott'cha home. Remember, when driving on the hi-way, keep yer teeth closed so you don't swaller enny buggs. ......Dell, the bugg taster, patooie splat!!!
