Last one I did: Got a crock pot at goodwill store for $5, filled it with Greased Lightning ( or Purple Power etc.), let body of carb 'cook' overnight. Flushed with clean water, it cleaned up real well. Did not cook float, jets, and other small parts, used spray carb cleaner on them.

I do all my carbs in a can of Berrymans chem dip. But your not likely to find any that is like what I have since what I have is 15 plus year old when it was good stuff. The new stuff is not very good. Yes it does work but not as good as it once did

The last one I did didn't need soaking. It just needed passages cleaned. I used a can of ether with a straw on it to focus the stream. Worked well.

I got some stuff from NAPA recently in gallon can, seems to work pretty good. comes with basket and handle for small parts
