New float new needle and seat tractor starts great idles and good throttle response smokes like choke partially on but not no change when adjusting low speed or high speed adjustment screws needle setting when carb turned upside down and blowing on inlet needle opening when upright and blowing on inlet gas not leaking by needle valve looking for suggestions marvel schebler tax 603 carb

Float too high (even if where it belongs) when the idle adjustment is not working the rich mixture hides the issue. Main jet too large could have some effect. Restricted air flow into the carb is a factor how does it run with the air cleaner off? Jim

You are welcome. the replacement might be made with lighter material, floating too high. Jim
