carb rebuild

Looking to have carb rebuilt on 1929 gp...tractor runs but carb leaks everywhere. Who can anyone refer who would give a price before I send it to them. The last outfit I called wanted the carb and said they'd send it back when it was paid for but refused to quote an estimate.

I think it would be hard to give a price for a rebuild without seeing it. A lot of things to consider, throttle shaft, new throttle shaft bushings made, gaskets, float, needle and seat, true the mounting flanges. I had new bushings made and installed in my 29 GP carb. Think it cost me $90.00.

Thank you...I'll give them a call. I understand that it's hard to give a price but this other place wouldn't even give a worst case senerio.

Ditto!!! I am in total agreement with the recommendation to go to Mike Shelby!He did the carb for my 1950A and it is better than new! Real professional!
