[b:7232ec833d][i:7232ec833d]Since Hermie the 2N's engine overhaul, seems to be running Great, I will be starting to take carb. requests, as of....28 March,2011. I will be scanning this post, for email replies sent, on Monday morning early!!!

Be aware, that I have three dif. Security Programs, running on my computer, and that if an email is sent to me, and I am not aware of this, your email may just end up in my JUNK BOX!!
SO.....please make a reply to this post, that you are sending/sent, an email to me. That way I can be expecting, and check for any emails that may be in the dumper!!! :lol:

The way we do this:

ONE MORE THING: I ONLY work on the TSX M/S carbs', used on the "N" series Ford Tractors. I cannot guaranty, and or test the bigger M/S Carbs.!! TSX 33....241,....and 241B Carbs, are the only ones I am set up for. ..........Sorry 'Bout That!!!

That's about everything you will need, to do, to get me to overhaul your M/S TSX carb./carbs.!

If someone is willing to buy you a larger tractor, so that you can work on the larger carbs, that is an option, right?

Actually, Les and I were talking about savin' up some sheckles, to maybe buy a bigger engine, to put on a skid bed, for doing all the bigger carbs.
I'm just about finished up on a TSX813 for a local here. It goes on his 4000 Ford, and is gonna have me install it for testing on his tractor.
Don't need an extra test bed that way!!! Just drive up to his ranch and test it.!!! 8) Wonder if he would just loan it to me.........OR......what you just said!!! :lol:

Hurry up and get well!!!!!!! Then you can come up and go snowmobilin' with me, next winter!!!! :wink:

What Gary you saying you don't do them look alike carbs they sell now days??? I have one of them on my 8N that has the back hoe and had to rebuild it not long ago and found the normal kit fit it. But if is not a true M/S carb it is not even cast iron

JMHO....Not ALL the re-pops are junk, BUT, I would say that most of the black look-alikes are!!! The only re-pop, I would buy, (and only if I had to,) would be the pot-metal looking ones. Those are not too bad!! Also, the early heavy cast ones, are workable.....the rest of them are not worth the $$'s, they are asking for them.
The day the orig. M/S TSX carbs, disappear, will be the day I will stop workin' on carbs!!! JMO!! :x

I may be wrong......I usually am, but, I don't think anything above a 52 yr. Ford carb, will mate to a 2N manny!!!??? I think the bolt width is too big!!!?????????

01 went to a wider pattern.. but.. that's fixable .. carb to manifold gasket still seals it. my 660 is using an 8n carb to manifold gasket when i put it back together..

nuttin a lil ingenuity and some small thru studs and nuts won't fix. they come out real easy. not to mention slotting the manifold helps on the 01 carbs on earlier manifolds.

my 660 has a carb from a 661 on it..

still 6v and starts up before I even have the thumb button fully depressed.. wrong carb and all..

Glad to hear the shack is up and runnin again. Will be talking to ya soon about doing the carb off the latest 8N that followed me home, but the weather has got to warm up around here before I get to working on it. Weatherman said we're running 25 degrees below normal. Warmer weather is on the way, I think.... I hope, soon. I'll keep in touch. Glad that Hermie is feelin better.don

This re-pop is probably a good 10-15 years old and was replaced way back when because I could not get to old M/S carb clean enough to work. The tractor would run if and only if the main jet adjustment screw was out of the carb. That old carb sat on a shelve for years and is now on a tractor I sold a few years ago but after sitting seems it dried out enough to clean up and work

A "re-pop" would be something, that is made as "aftermarket" Look-a-likes for replacement of an "Original" product.
Not many really good "look-a-likes" floating around, out there, for sale, now-a-days. We jokingly call them as being from, ...."the land of almost right" !!! :roll: Re-pops, aftermarkets,........NOT ORIGINALS!!!
