Carburator rebuilding

I see GB's name attached to a lot of posts about carbs. Does he rebuild them for other people? Is the new Zeneth a better bang for the buck if you work your tractor hard than rebuilding the old one?

Yes, GB does rebuild for others and he does it as a service to the community here at YT, not to gouge people. He did an original M/S for me about 18 months ago and it still works great. I think he may have an exchange program going as well if you are pressed for time and don’t need to have the old one back. He should be along any time and let you know his particulars as to contact info.

Most of what I hear bout the Zenith is that they are fragile, but I have not had any personal experience with them

Gary (GB) does a fantastic job on carbs, you send it to him and he rebuilds it and then tests it on his tractor and then sends it back guaranTEED to make you happy. You send him what you think is a fair price for his service. I would have send mine but he doesnt work on Jubi carbs ( he cannot test them ) Look at some of his carbs before and after.....unbelievable. I would send him yours first before getting a rebuild off the net. Just my 2¢....

The Z carbs are not worth the time to even put on. GB does good work from what I here plus you can buy rebuilt carbbs from a lot of places like nnalert etc

What the others have told ya, and I think they have pretty much covered the carb. questions you had. I might add........JMHO....the Marvel Schebler carb's used/made for use, on the "N" series tractor, is the BEST "bang for your buck....totally rebuilt it will outlast ANY other carb. that is being offered by the suppliers.
That said, I have heard testimony, Good, and Bad for the others. All I can tell ya is, the other carbs are in my estimation....poorly made, and distributed as replacements for the M/S carbs.
Here is a before, and after pic. of the last two carb's I did for a member of this forum. The one on the left is an orig. M/S TSX carb., and the one on the right is an 8N9510 C repop. This is the only repop carb. that I would work on, and in my opinion....is the only repop carb. offered, that I would recommend buying. It is also the cheapest on the market...for what it does.
