Hi Guys.
What can I use for packing on the fuel adjusting needle on a Farmall H tractor Thanks for any help you can give me.

a stack of "O" rings, waxed cotton thread or yarn, oakum, graphite infused water pump packing, plumbers tape.......

It should come in the carb kit. I know it is in there in the kits I buy at O'Reilly's

That packing gland is available at your local Case-IH dealer. I have rebuilt many Farmall carburetors, and I have tried many different methods of sealing up the load screw. The original style of packing gland is the ONLY thing that works.

You can also use teflon rope "packing". Would be like wrapping about 6 layers of teflon tape around the stem. Check the local plumbing isle in the hardware store. The rope is used in big vAlves in commercial stuff.

Been awhile but I think I got waxed dental floss to work.

Saw a piece of store string in a bar of soap until it is fully coated & use that.

I have used Teflon pipe sealant tape for packing.

I've added to them with a hem off a red rag...

I prefer using a Case part# 222-101 grommet.
