I notice that Carpenter has a backflow muffler for the 8n, that they claim duplicates the original baffle pattern. News to me - I came along too late to ever have seen an original muffler and have always assumed they were all straight-thru.
Has anyone tried one? Is it quieter than the Stanley/TSC/CNH design?
Oh, it's $75. A bit expensive, but then it seems the price of the cheap ones double every time I buy another.
