Case 1070 power shift 2 lugging tractor

Just coming in from stalk chopping with a 1975 case 1070. Just purchased it a couple weeks ago. First time really working it. Was going ok until shifting the power shift. Tractor acts like it is lugging in 2nd powershift. 1st pulls fine and 3rd also is fine. 2nd seams to pull but acts like there is some added heavy load causing the engine to lug very noticably. All 3 powershifts were working ok when I started the day.

Is it a possible valve issues or an I looking at something bigger?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible to have two cluches trying
to pull at the same time? That's kink of
what it was acting like...

C2 clutch spool is stuck and not allowing C2 to disengage, it takes two clutches to make any speed work, the problem occurs when one fails to disengage, under the floor the valve is located and the pilot spool valves are located on the front or rear of the valve depending on the spool. You really need a service manual or someone to put a picture of the valve body with the spools location pointed out as there are 4 pilots plus a Lube pressure regulator plug. This problem is because of neglected service of the system filters and not changing tranny oil regularly.

With these problems, the oil and filters need to be changed via operators manual,
I have seen those 70 series transmission oil look nasty, and they shifted okay under lite loads
