Case 1070 powershift

Does the tractor have to be split to replace bolts in c/2 c/3 clutches have no movement of tractor in powershift ranges 2/3 but normal in first range pressure gauge is in the green until you shift it up into 2nd range then goes to the yellow

I once had a 2590 that lost 1st and 2nd powershift. As I recall they polished the
powershift spools and fixed the problem. Might be something to check before
splitting the tractor.

Just had same issues on a 2090. No 2nd or
3rd. Pressure checked C3 port on valve
body, presure would rise slightly and then
drop off. Thought it was in transmission
but it was the O rings on the tubes
between valve body and transmission case.
That's where I would start, C3 valve is
the common one between 2nd and 3rd.
There are some on here that can explain
the testing better than I, hopefully they
will chime in.

Are you talking about the valve body on top of the transmission housing I had thought about o rings in it being bad to start with

2090 was on the side, 1070 could very well
be on top. Anyway, that valve body is
pretty similar. C3 is the common valve for
2nd and 3rd. There is an 1/8 pipe plug,
and the cover will be marked C3. I think
it's 9/32 8 point socket to fit the square
head on the plug, which are normally very
tight. The valve can be disassembled on a
bench, and once removed you can shift the
transmission with air pressure, and listen
for air in the trans case. If the clutch O
rings are leaking, you will hear it. Like
I said, no xpert, some others can add
