Case 1175 PTO Bearing

My Case 1175 needs the PTO bearing replaced. I am struggling to get it out. Any suggestions for pulling it out of there? It is much more tight on the inside race where it is on the "sleeve". This tractor has the dual speed PTO for reference. SO far I have tried hooking it out with a pry bar, screwing a lag bolt into it to pull it out , and then I welded a nut onto it but still couldn't get it to come out with my slide hammer.

Something I have done in the past is heat the bearing with a torch and then drive a punch in there to either cut the bearing race or just deform it. Im afraid to put that much heat in the rear end like this though and that inner sleeve is very pricey. What suggestions do you all have?

Also I am sorry the picture keeps loading sideways.

I assume that you already have the rear off the tractor, once that is done the rear casting assembly can be removed from the main rear housing exposing the lower shaft assembly, The gears must be separated far enough to see the sliding collar and the the two pins must be removed that drive the sliding collar by threading hardened Allen headed screws down in them to act as jack bolts to push them out. Removal then will be obvious as to what you do next, it has been many years now since I have done one, keep us posted as to your progress and we will help you through it.
