Case 1175 slowing down after working

I have a case 1175 that has worked great for years. Now after working for about 45 minutes, it starts slowing down until eventually it is barely rolling after working maybe 2 hours. What could the problem be?

Need a bit more info,,, I will assume you have something getting pulled down and blocking off the fuel flow from the tank, as I am guessing you mean the Engine slows down and will stop, in any case if this is happening I will say a fuel supply issue, or is there more you can tell us about what it does?

The engine is running full. The actual speed of the tractor moving slows until it is no longer moving but the engine is running strong. This happens while pulling disks mostly.

If the engine is running strong the clutch would have the be slipping. Is there free travel left on the clutch pedal? Does the tractor move after you remove the disc?

It will move as soon as I go to a lower gear or remove the disk. But even on the lower gear it will only work for a few minutes and do the same. Until it will barely roll in 1st gear.

You can try adjusting the pedal linkage turnbuckle to achieve 1-2 in. free travel and see if that helps, but my thoughts are if the clutch has slipped that much already it is time to split and repair it. Rod.

After reading all the posts, and your replies, I hope you haven't slipped the clutch to the point where the flywheel and presure plate have been destroyed by heat cracks. Sounds like you neglected to adjust the clutch pedal free play which is detailed in your operators manual and hopefully you haven't slipped the pi$$ out of it. Maybe if you give the pedal some free play it may work for a while longer.
Good luck.
