case 1190 clutch problem

I recently bought a Case 1190 diesel tractor with a loader. I believe it is early 1980. It is 12 speed with gear shifter to right of operator.
I should have caught this but it wants to lunge at top of pedal. It is hard to have smooth operation. Today I was pushing a small log and it locked and clutch would not take tractor out of gear nor would lever take it out of gear. I had to shut engine down to get tractor to get it working again. I am sure it is clutch, and ideas?

Does it have a cab, seems to me the ones with a cab MAY have had a "hydraulic clutch" whereas the cabless version used a mechanical linkage.

IF it has the hydraulic version it might by low on fluid or have a failing cylinder.

Worth checking in to before digging deeper/splitting the tractor

Hi, I have 1190 with loader also, it has two stage clutch, first push in stops tractor motion,
Push further, deactivates pto and hydraulics . For heavy work and slow driving ,
I put those left hand levers in 1st 0r 2nd range.
I would try to adjust those little linkage rods first.
Operators manual may help.
Hope you get it working , They are a good little Tractor.
