I have a Case 1200 with serial number 9801860. I'm trying to figure out what year it is and how many were made. Tractordata says 1549 were built with no breakdown. YT shows almost 6000 made. Any other sources out there?

Looking at my Dad's copy of "JI Case Agricultural & Construction Equipment 1956-1994" I found the following.
Four wheel drive models- Rockford, Illinois.
1965, starting serial No. 9800051, and ending 9802060. These numbers include industrial loaders also built at that plant, not just farm tractors. So your 1200 would be a 1965 model.
For number of 1200s built,
1964 - 322 built (at Racine)
1965 - 533 (at Rockford, along with all years after)
1966 - 310
1967 - 309
1968 - 175
1969 - 392.
That makes a total of 2041 built, if everything in the book is right.
