Case 1294 planetary assembly

I have a Case 1294 4wd that was missing the
one front planetary assembly when I
purchased it. I initially wasn't concerned
it wasn't there as I'm more than capable to
mechanically repair and install parts. I've
found out however this part is impossible
to order new and have not been able to find
any (in the northeast) at any salvage
yards. I did have a local machinist willing
to try and make it for a somewhat
reasonable to high quote, but I'm not sure
I want to go that route yet. My questions
are does anyone have a good source for
these types of tractors? It has a carraro
front axle and I know by looking at them
it's very close looking to a ford 4600 4wd
planetary, does anyone know if another
planetary will cross reference? Sorry for
being long winded and thanks in advance for
any help!

You may have to buy a complete axle. Try Farmland tractor supply in Oregon. They had a couple of them the las time I was there.

Or install a non powered tombstone and front axle after the sticker shock.
