A friend of mine has spotted a Case 1370 in an upcoming auction.
Just wondering how these Case tractors fared. How were the motors? Heard some transmissions would jump out of park? Anybody still run these old girls?

If that engine was green it would be considered the best engine ever built. But they are old. Check for coolant in the oil as the sleeve o-rings can leak. Watch for blowby and such like any engine. I ran my 1370 at 200hp for many years with no issues.

We had one that ran probably 15-20000 hours without hardly being touched. Finally blew a head gasket and was parked. Great tractors. Park is not an issue as long as you don't try to put it in park while your rolling. It causes the park tab to spring out of alignment.
Factory around 150 hp. Can easily handle being turned up to 180 hp. Plenty around scrap yards for parts. If you need a tractor around that power and size, there are none better for the price.

I have one I paid 5,500 dollars for. Its been perfect for me. I've had a little trouble with the a/c, but not too bad. I pull a 25ft keawanne disk and 12 row duetz 385 planter. The disk is hard on it, but it will get it done. I love mine.
