Case 155 Hydro Value ?

My client has a Case 155 Hydro ser # 9618082
10 HP Kohler, engine runs good, has mower deck, snowblower, plow Tractor is in beautiful unrestored condition, Unsure of what would be good asking price ?

To me, a 155 is now more of a collector tractor than it is a work tractor but there are still plenty of the old 100 series out there doing a job every week.

If this tractor is really in "show worthy" condition, then it could be worth as much as $700.00 for the package, IN MY OPINION.

I happily paid $300.00 Canadian for a non-running 1967 155 that was complete and straight but in bad need of a seat, 2 front tires and a total paint job. It came with a deck that probably could have been restored with a lot of work but since this tractor will end up going only to shows, I stripped the deck bare and scrapped the shell along with half a dozen shells from the later series tractors.

A complete sno-caster in decent shape is now a hard thing to come by as are the snow/dirt blades for the 155's. Location, location, location certainly applies. What's hotly sought after in one area of the country won't raise an eyebrow on the other coast. Shipping always plays into it as well.

I recognize your screen name and I know you've been around GT's for some time so I trust your assessment of this beast. I guess if I owned this package, I'd ask $1000.00 or best offer and let nature run its course. In a recent e-Bay auction, I witnessed a 180 Case with no deck and in bad need of a full resto, sell for $1800.00. Granted, the 180's are getting harder to find but the value of Case parts and tractors has risen over the past 18 months.

Why? I can't explain it, especially when we are supposed to be in a recession. Your guy can always drop his price if the need demands it but if I was him, I'd start high.
