Case 2090 powershift valve

My 2090 powershift valve is sticking occasionally.It has a rebuilt valve from Elmers Repair. Just wondering if anyone has added a filter to supply line to valve. Thanks in advance.

Ken, there is a suction screen in the transmission and the oil goes from there to a charge pump then to the main filter housing where all oil to all systems is filtered. I believe the standard filtering arrangement is more than adequate. Not all filters are created equal and I never ever use anything but Case filters with the fiberglass filtering medium. Early we tried using paper pleat and moisture from condensation would swell the paper up and give a filter light. I would beware of any filters of the paper variety, Case has or did have a High performance filter for those tractors. I hope you are running HYTRAN ULTRA in your system! Those two things I am stubborn about, Major damage can occour if the wrong oils are used. If the proper filters are used and the bypass is good Case's filtering system is just fine.

hytran oil. I am
using a name brand
filter, but I will
try oe case
filters. Thanks

Fleetgard is fine also as I believe they supply most case OEM filters.
