Case 210B - Exhaust

I'm going to convert my vertical exhaust to the orignial horizontal type (under the clutch pedal).

Would anyone having the horizontal setup post pics in this thread so I can see how I need to plumb & support this?

Any pit falls?

Thanks!

Here are some pictures of mine with the under slung exhaust. I have no muffler on it now but it just clamps to the end of the exhaust pipe and is held by a clamp at the at the end under the platform. Only problem is it is low and can catch on hay when raking. Do you have any pics of your conversion to an upright muffler?

Thanks PhilcaseinWPA. Judging from that second picture, I'm going to need to fab up that bracket and probably one underneath for the muffler.

I don't use my 210 for hay raking, but I do a lot of bush hogging, so I am a bit concerned about it hanging under there. But like it is, my chest hurts after about an hour from all exhuast that gets blown back in my face. Plus, I've bent the vertical muffler several times on tree branches. I want to see if this will work better.

I don't have any pictures of my set up right now. The tractor is kept on our place about 120 miles from where I live, so it will be a couple of weeks before I make it back down there. However, its pretty simply done. The manifold is the same, but there is a "J" shaped pipe on mine where yours goes down at an angle. A round muffler is cinched on the "J" and supported with a U-bold that attaches to the hood. Additional support was added the last time I bent it over due to a tree limb by tacking on a piece of metal rod from the muffler to the "J" shaped pipe. I will post pictures as soon as I get them. Thanks again for your post!!
