case 224 belt

any know the dimentions or belt number for a case 224 mower deck for the belt that goes around the 3 blade pulleys? thanks! Jack

Three mower decks with different cutting widths were available for a 224.

The model 40 is a 38" cut width

The model 44 and 45 are both 44" cut width but the latter is rear discharge.

The model 46 is a 48" cut width. They all take different length belts.

OEM belts from Ingersoll are the best bang for your buck. They are the correct width (9/16") as well as being a Kevlar construction belt.

The part number for the 38" belt is C-23810 and I don't know how long that belt is.

The part number for the 44" deck belt is C-22707 and it's 76" long if you get a 1/2" wide one

The part number for the 48" deck belt is C-22708 and is 80" long if you get a 1/2" one.

A good source for belts is TSC as their best belts are Kevlar reinforced. Don't use anything other than a Kevlar belt or it won't last.

I am going to advise you to start a new thread of your own. This thread is from 2010 and the members posting in this thread have not posted for years. It is not uncommon for people to read and start replying to the first post, never looking at a later tagged on one like yours.

Give the info for your LGT and what you need. It looks like you may need to include which deck you have just to have that info if the drive belt to the deck has options.
