Case 310E rear end

Tore into the rear end of my 310E to put new brake bands in it, one broke on me, but I noticed the long narrow gears that run between both sides of the breaks were kinda funny. They are in sets of 2, one is a gear that runs half the width of the gap between the sides and one runs the full width, the shorter gear is supported on both sides and the long gear seems to only be supported on 1 side. I could see 2 of the sets, both were the same way, take it there are 4, I think they are all the same. Is this a problem or is it normal? Please lemme know guys!

Y C Guy,
You need to put the correct oil in the steering case,so the bands work OK.
I just loaded a picture of a 310G Diff on the Community Album gallery..
