case 311 skip

I recently brought back a case 311 from the bushes. I got it running but can"t get rid of this skip. I set the valves and have been messing with the timing which seems to help but that skip just won"t quit. I also think it should have lots more power than it does. Oh by the way it only seems bad under load. any ideas?

Start by replacing plug wires, plugs, points and condenser,etc to eliminate any stray voltage.
If that doesn't work, pull the valve cover and see if all the valves are moveing properly. {check for bent pushrods}. You may also have valves that are not seating.
