case 400 730 factory pto delete

does anyone know if there was ever a 400 or 730 or something with the same rear end pattern with no pto and eagle hitch or somethong that will bolt up that is not as big so i can get the hitch of my tractor closer to the rear axles

The parts book doesn't show one that takes the whole unit off the back. There are indivigual blank-out plates for the hyd and PTO. but I've seen blank plates before. Seems like they were on an orchard or an industrial version. Maybe someone like Don Livinston would know.

Just drop the whole unit off the back and make a plate. It's pretty easy. I've done a 700 and a 400 both that way. I made them out of 3/16 plate.

did u see a plate to get rid of the whole unit or just the pto and hyrdrolics?

The parts book shows just plates to get rid of PTO and hyd. pump.

I'm sure I've seen one for the whole unit somewhere but i'm sure it was an industrial or military unit (tug unit) maybe?? orchard?? Can't tell you where though.

If I remember my 400 book right there is a plug to fill the hole from the PTO drive shaft after you remove the rear hydraulic housing, "A9830-cover-rear transmission case-(special for orchard models not having hydraulic housing)" been looking for one.

if anyone has any leads on one of theses cover to cover the whole housing let me know and if anyone knows of any good case salvage yards let me know too
