Case 400 plow year

I recently bought a Case 400 plow with a serial number of 1603557. Can anyone tell me what year it is? I've searched but can't find anything. Thanks!

Don't know the year it was made but I know I'd sure like to use it on about 18 acres of wore out hay ground to plant wheat on. I'd have to wait til after a good rain or I would have a field that looked like a bunch of concrete chunks.

I will get down to mine hopefully today and grab the serail off it, I know what year mine is as I unloaded it from the transport truck at our dealership, maybe I can get you close to the year that way, I dont think I have any serial charts for the White/CASE plows

We had a 4 bottom 400 plow in think it had a letter in the serial number as well

My "400" has a serial of 1601579 That said I unloaded it in pieces from the transport truck in early spring 1976,, yours is after that in serial, so my guess is a 1977-1980 vintage for yours
