case 430 pto shaft replacement

The pto shaft on my 430 is twisted so i took one out of a junk tractor. The long shaft that goes all the way up to the transmission came out with it.Will it go into my tractor without me taking the top off the rear end to guide it back in?

Yes it will no problem

As Jllw says it will slide back in easily. If you have any trouble it would be with the spline on the shaft being slightly out of alignment so all you need to do is turn the PTO shaft just a bit to align the splines on the shaft internally and it will slip right in. I had to do some work on my 630 PTO shaft and it is as easy as he said.

I had to pull the PTO out of my 300 a little over a year ago for a repair. Similar setup to the 430. I though no way would I ever get it back in right. Everyone here said it would be easy, and when I did it, it was amazingly easy. Like they say, "Just do it".
