I have a case 430, it was running great then all of a sudden it started missing yet sometimes I could choke it and it would be OK. Other times it didn't seem to help. I did run it out of gas and added one gallon I had on hand, after that is when it started acting up. The gas I added was unleaded but was OK. I put in new points, condenser and a new coil, no help. Anyone have any idea as to what could be causing the problem. Is it possible that the ignition switch is bad. Also one time when I went to start it, there was no spark at the point but as I moved the screw driver near the points I got a spark away from the points and then I had a spark at the points.

You have got a bunch of crap in the sediment bowl intake. Blow the fuel line back from carb. and try it again, Don't forget to remove fill cap when you blow it back with compressed air.

it seens to have plenty of gas going thru the fuel line, but i will give it a try. i have cleaned the carb. thanks for responding

Take a flashlight and see if there is any junk in the tank that can restrict fuel flow. If so, remove the sediment bowl and valve assy and flush the tank. Blow air through the valve assy to clean out anything that may be stuck in it. While you are doing that disconnect the fuel line at the carb and blow it out also. Hopefully, this will cure your problem.

Sounds like you might have a little water in the gas you added. I've tried to get water to burn several times and it doesn't burn worth a crap. Run a little gas from the carb bowl onto a flat surface. You'll be able to see the water bubbles separate from the gas if that's your problem.

Fuel Filter!

I checked to see if I had gas going thought the fuel line and I did. HOWEVER it was not a full stream so I blew the line out with air. It runs. Thanks for all of your help, your persistence is why I blew out the line. I really thought it had plenty of gas going to the carb.
