CASE 430

I have been given a case 430 that hasn"t ran for 5 years.It ran good when parked in carport.i just went to pick up and in 15 min had her running. problem i have it wont go in gear with clutch in or out tried to pull tractor right wheel locked up but got it free. the trans wont shift into gear with tractor running or not. i need direction .

It sounds like clutch disc is stuck to flywheel or preasure plate. If you have some wide open spaces start it in gear and push the clutch pedal down and slam down on the brakes, and maybe it will break loose. If you are in a confined area, put it in low,try towing it, ignition off, jab the brakes . If that doesn't work get out the 15/16" wrenches and split it. Splitting should only take 1/2 to 1 hr. with proper tools.

i cant get it to shift into gear at all

the shifter will only go into s will not go into any other gear

Explain what you mean by it won't go in gear... Is it grinding when trying to shift with the tractor running, or is it something else. You may need to remove the transmission cover to see if you have an issue with the shifting forks,

it dosent grind i just cant get the shifter to move into any gear the shifter will only go sideways

Pull the cover. I'll bet you'll find an issue with the rails.
