A local farmer had a Case #5 sickle mower pictured below and he said I could have it as long as I don't ever sell it, the mower was working good when it was put in the barn many years ago, the levers still move ok. I have a few questions for you guys that know ALOT more than I do about Case products.
There is a spring in the round tube in front of the seat that is not attached and probably broke, what does it do and can I get one anywhere??
I found a operators manual for a Hi-lift #5 mower on ebay, is this the one I need??
I did see that it has grease fittings so I am guessing this one was made after 1930?
Any other info I might need to know, please share. I hope to clean it up and see if it will cut again.
