Case 500 "509"

Hello,
A 1954 Case 500 "509" recently showed up for sale near where I live. The listing on Facebook Marketplace claims that it is quite rare, and that it ran 2 years ago but doesn't run now due to injection pump issues. I have never heard of a "509" before, what separates a "509" from a regular "500"? How rare is a "509"? Thoughts?

Interesting, I have seen a picture of a 509 power unit before. This tractor does actually have a 509 decal on the side of it though, could it be a 500 that was repowered with a 509 power unit possibly? Thank you for your help!

Or perhaps just the sheet metal swapped out.

I thought one of the pictures showed the serial number tag was stamped 509 also?
