Case 511B problem

My 511B third and fourth gear stopped working today. I still have 1,2 and reverse. It’s a triple range. I put it in low range, then I got it into 3rd gear once. When I switched to fourth gear, it was still in third. Then went back to D in the triple range then lost that. Tried high range and still only have 1,2, and reverse.

Post over on the Case and David Brown form. I suspect you will need to pull the gear shift assembly and take a look.

You are going to have to pull the cover off the transmission, you will likely find a broken fork. But ask down on the case forum as I'm not the expert on those.

Chances are you will find a pin that has given way from wear after you pull the cover. Put the transmission in neutral before you do.
