Case 530 159 gas timing mark

I've been working on replacing the distributor in the 159 gas motor, the old one was shot.
I modified a 70 Dodge distributor, and use Ford electronic ignition parts do make a distributorless coil-on-plug ignition.

I'm trying to determine where the timing mark is located. I see nothing. There is the pump shaft that comes out the front I can use, but it has no marks on it. I used a wire in the plug hole to get the number 1 cylinder at the top, but exactly at the top is impossible using that method. I need to confirm the initial and 30-degree total timing. Any help appreciated.

As Case Nutty said, the timing hole is on the right, lower side of the bell housing.... See first pic.

If your flywheel has just two marks (TDC & IGN) then you won't need the following chart. If it has graduated marks then set your static timing based your rated engine speed. 3 to 4 degrees is your setting unless it is an LP setup. See chart below

Joe, where was this chart? I don't remember seeing it in my ops manual or gas engine service manual.
