Case 530 CK questions...

I just drug home a new to me 1963 530 CK...
Will have several questions...

It is a dry clutch shuttle shift trans and I haven't had any luck looking up fluid capacities...

Brakes sorta work a little and po said he replaced them so I suspect oil contamination... is that possible?

Steering wheel SUX... gives me a rash every time I touch it... fiberglass impregnated???
In my searching so far it seems like it's gonna be over $150 to replace it but maybe someone knows otherwise?
It's hydro steer w orbital directly below the wheel

Have been pondering changing the seats out for a single turn around seat... any thoughts on that....

That is all for now but will be more I'm sure...

On the steering wheel, I have sanded the
rough off, filled voids with JB Weld, and
painted with black enamel spray can. Still
using it 25 years later. Otherwise, the
last steering wheel I bought from John
Saeli was around 50 bucks.

I bought the same 63 as you with backhoe and loader, if you want to sell the backhoe
seat let me know. The rear axle capacity is 14 qt, I changed it today. Mine is the 8
speed shuttle transmission and it takes 16 qt of trans/hydraulic, hytran or
equivalent...napa was $106.00 plus tax for 5 gallon. Keep it in doors if you can, I had
to drain/flush Trans, rear axle and loader/backhoe fluid. Good machine though. I can't
understand why people leave these tractors sit outside.

Well I would sell it IF I come up w a good turnaround seat system that works for me
Unfortunately mine will have to sit outside because I dont have indoor space available for it tho I have been trying to peice together a 16x40 tractor shed but still lack materials to finish it

Wish me luck... my steering wheel burned me up for the last time...
Angle grinder, chisel, and hammer and it's GONE!

ordered the one above, hope it fits
