Case 530 steering pump G-45467

Hi, new to group. I have a case 530 backhoe with a 159 gas engine. Not sure of year as the tag is gone. Have the model and serial number for the backhoe part. I have been trying to find someone that could rebuild or might have a parts diagram/manual for the power steering pump G-45467. Not even sure if there is any trouble with the pump, might be something else in the system. It is mounted on the right hand side of the engine and is gear driven and has an external reservoir. It is NOT the type with the reservoir mounted directly on the pump. I don't know if one of those pumps with the reservoir attached would fit in here with the alternator and oil filter in the way. The oil filter is currently mounted vertically with the base at the bottom. Can the oil filter base be rotated 180 degrees if I need to? I will try to put in a couple of pictures to make things easier. Thank you very much for any info...

Welcome to the forums. If you re-post this on the Case /David Brown board you will likely get more response. There are some very knowledgeable members on that board that might know about the interchangeable parts.

Well the reservoir has a filter in there if you take the cap off with the single bolt in the top. then I would pull one of the lines off the bottom let drain change filter and refill this will help with oil being clean and not mixing while changing filter besides it should be done every so often as maintenance. Now with that done check the old hoses while the oil drained looking for separation in the hose it may or may not show looking through the line or it might even be collapsed inside so you can't see through it. From here and not being told just what your problem is about the best I can do besides checking the tension on the belt if driven that way or the coupler if direct drive off the timing gears in the front. The big hoes on the end is suction from supply to pump then one of the others goes to the steering while the other ir like a bypass or return from the gear box/cylinders back to the supply. Thus a full circle flow. This setup is much like my semis are and I use engine oil in them so if they leak it is not mixing a hydraulic oil into the engine oil.
