the dozer appears to be binding up, especially if you hit the right or left brake. you can work the track speed levers back and forth and at some point it will unstick. Any help would be appreciated.

The declutch spools were bad for sticking on these dozers. The first few inches of stroke declutch and rest of the stroke brakes the machine. I always found it easier to reseal the declutch spool with the valve off the transmission. It can be done in place but it"s a pain.If you follow the brake lines from the machine you will see they go to the transmission valve then to the slave cylinders. Unbolt the v block that is on the transmission valve. You should be able to use a screwdriver to stroke the spools gently. You will most likely find that they push in easy enough but bind when they return. Case has switched between O rings and quad rings on these spools. The seals are in the front plate on the valve. I always just opened the back panel on the dozer....remove the lines from the valve. I believe it"s 6 bolts that hold valve in. remove the valve then remove the front cover. replace the Orings or quad rings and reinstall.
