Case 580C brakes

Once again I am having to repair my master and slave cylinders. Seems like every 3-4 years I have to replace due to rust in bores.I have been bleeding fully spring and fall, but now I"m asking if any of you have converted to the mineral oil like the 580D using TCH fluid. By the Case CE website the mineral oil master cylinders appear different externally. Will the N6823 fit in the L25419 master cyl? I verified the slave cyl kit A48971 works in A51976 housing. Maybe I just have to keep throwing parts at it every few years. Thanks in advance, JB.

I would use a brake cylinder honing tool to clean up the bores, you will get a brake honing tool in an auto accessory shop that you use in a drill, fit new seal kits and use the TCH instead of the DOT3.

AJ, The reason I posted part numbers is fluid compatibility. 580C is dot#3 580d is TCH. I think seals will swell and master cylinders dont look identical. Yes I already have a hone, pitting is too deep this time on slavecyls. Masters have been stainless sleeved already. Thanks, JB.

I have no way to find that out and would bet Case can"t tell you either, you will have to replace the pitted cylinders and stick with the DOT3,EPS sell aftermarket cylinders at the link below.

AJ-Thanks for the reply and link.Looks like I"ll be stayin with Dot3.Was hopin somebody else had converted before I thought about it.Obviously Case thought it was a problem also or the 580D would still have Dot3. Thanks All.
