Case 610B Hp

Hi , I'm new to the site. I'm talking to a fellow who has a 610B gas for sale. The tractor has been painted and exterior appearance is good. Tractor data indicates it is a 37 HP. Other forums quote the HP at 50 HP +/_ depending on forum. My past experience was with a 430 diesel triple range drive. A very durable tractor with exception of fluid migration from triple range sump to rear end. Also talked to a seller of a 310 B who indicated it also was experiencing fluid migration between sumps. I passed on it for that reason
What issues should I look for when inspecting the tractor. Does the 610experience fluid transfer. I am un familiar with the Case O Matic so appreciate any pros and cons that can be shared regarding them.
Thanks in advance

Those tractors are all very similar. The 610 is closer to 50 hp. I believe the 610 has the case-o-matic drive which will make that seem much higher. The fluid transfer is common and not hard to fix, could be the pto shaft seal or the eagle hitch cylinder seal. Both those seals are under the rear cover and not hard to change.

I have a 59 611b and it is close to 50 HP, had it about 40 years, it has been good for us although it don't get used only on Bushog and Grader Blade. It does the leaking from Case-O-matic to the rear end. put those seals in once and was good for a while and now it leaks again. John Saela has parts if needed. Just watch your Rear end oil and if it grows drain some out. Gene
