case 730

I have a case 730 with a loader and wide front axle. The power steering gear was leaking horrible and I had it fixed but it still leaks but not as bad. Is this a common problem on those tractors or should I replace the whole steering gear.

We have had a couple of our leak but it was not much of a problem to fix. Get a manual and parts break down first.

Mine leaks as well, but it is the hose running to it not the steering box....guess I need a new one ....This spring when it gets warrrrmmm!!!!

Tom, I had a leak on one of mine. It was where the stearing shaft went into the stearing box. I was able to change the bearing and seal in it. I happened to have the raditor out at the time. That made the job easier. You will need a manual. I have several tractors with the same type of staring and they have not leaked a drop. As soon as I say that they will start leaking this summer.
