case 870

I have found a Case 870 for sale. Never knew they guy even had it. Said he never uses it anymore. I went to look at it tonight. It started right up and ran good. Ran it through the gears and ranges. Seems fine. The ranges don't line up well in neutral but they all shift.
Excellent rubber front and rear. Cab, Diesel, Powershift and A/C in the cab. (not working) but it's all there. 6200 hrs. Whats it worth? Can't find many for sale to compare to. He's not advertising it..just told me he'd sell it to me since I'm a close neighbor.

I bought mine for 4500 with no cab over 8000 hrs good tires power shift runs great easy on fuel

From what you are describing I would say it could be worth up to $8500.My advice if it as good as you say,offer him $6000.You will never regret it,they are great little tractors!!!

If it looks good cosmetically and not all dented/rusted up then I would say around $ 7500. I don't think you will find many 870 w/cab and air. Air is easy fix usually. If by chance he bought it new then add some for that. ( unless you look around and all his stuff is beat to death) Good clean ones are going up.

Closed the deal. $2800 is all he wanted. Yikes. New /Titan /Armstrong short bar/long bars on it. 18.4-34. Fronts are new too. Titan tri ribs. 3-point and dual hydraulics I'll post some pics soon. Needless to say I paid him on the spot. Now I have a 1070, 930, and 870. Good start of a case collection.
