case 900 inj. pump

I am looking at buying a case 900 diesel. Can I switch out injection pumps from a 600b diesel to a 900b diesel? Also, is it possible to put a three point hitch on it? It has 2 hydraulic outlets. What would be the maximum amount of money to put into a tractor like this? What is one worth running? Any experience with or advice on these models would be greatly appreciated!

If the 900 you buy has an rotary pump they will not switch. 600B is a four cylinder tractor, the 900 is a 6 cylinder. Yes with some work you can add a 3 point but then again why?? If you want a three point buy a tractor that has one designed for it.

The 500/600 (6-cyl) pump will fit on the '57-'58 900b. The '59 had an inline pump. You may have to turn up the older pump a little to make the same power as the 900 pump. I have a couple of 900b's, both are '59's. I bought the first one about 3 years ago, good running and straight, but kinda ugly, for $1800. The second one bought 1 1/2 years ago, kinda rough, but running good, for $1500. I think they are probably worth a little more than that. They make a good plow tractor, and a good antique puller. The chain drive rear end is very strong, and the 377 is an easy starting, smooth running engine. I like all brands of tractors, but the 900 is one of my favorites.
