Case 930 hydraulics

I gonna be working on a Case 930 within the next couple of days. Hydraulics work fair until it warms up and then they become non existent. You can lift on implement and it lifts according to the pressure you put on it. 3 pt works great. The owner changed the filter, what do yall think ? Pump replacement ?

Check your pressure at all 4 remote hoses both cold and warm. Check the flow both cold and warm in case the suction screen is plugged. When you say the 3 pt works great, what are you lifting? The remote valves have priority over the 3 pt. If the back of the remote valve is cracked the 3 pt will not lift properly, and if the pump is bad the 3 pt will not lift properly. I can not think of anything that would cause the remotes to have less pressure than the 3 pt. Pressure relief is the same for both. Mel might think of what I am not thinking of.

D, You are right on the remotes having preference as the oil flows through the remote valve to get to the DOM circuit. The relief valve controls both obviously so the problem should be as obvious in the hitch as the couplers. The proper diagnostic procedure would be to flow the pump with a flometer to determine its condition with the oil brought up to temperature then flow the remote couplers and see if the flow readings are close after the relief valve is in the circuit, also relief valve action can be accurately checked. Without flow readings and pressure readings we are kinda in the dark. There are a few tractors out there with the very early ball and spring relief valve and they were a problem. They could be updated however to the new pilot relief cartridge assembly if you know where to look for the part numbers. Could you plug a gage into the remotes and get pressures for us? That would be a major help. mEl
