Case 930 Tachometer Cable Core

Tachometer cable core broke on my 930, but I have no clue on how to remove it, tachometer side is fully intact, but it seems a bit stuck in the casing. Anyone have some advice on how to remove it and how I can replace it? Thanks!

Can you grab ir with a vice grips and pull it out?
