case 990 3 point wont raise.

My son bought a case 990 actually a david brown and it has a case loader. The loader runs off of the remote hydraulic valve. The loader works fine but the 3 point
wont raise. The tractor has been sitting for a long time. Any ideas what may be wrong with the 3 point. Also, the remote spool was stuck in the position to make
the loader work but we freed it up because we thought maybe the remote spool had to be in the neutral position to make the 3 point work but that didnt help. How
did they normally hold the remote in a position to make the loader work.

Thanks I will check that out. Do you have any idea how they usually held the remote spool back so the loader valves will work. This one was stuck back when we got it but we got it moving and now it wont stay back.

They didn't. Theres a valve body that goes over by the left below and to the left of the seat. I allows a selection of 3 pt, 3pt and remote, (loader), and 1 or 2 other things depending on which one you get.

We took out those plungers under those screws that are under the cover all seems fine in there. We took off the cover near the end of the rock shaft that faces rearward and when you start the tractor, and try to raise the 3 point there is a lot of oil spraying around in there. It will even spray on the ground if you raise the 3 point lever too much. To me it seems like an oring or something is blown inside there. I assume you have to remove the rockshaft to fix it.
