I went and looked at a Case 990 today and can’t decide if it is priced good or not, don’t know much about these tractors. Its a Case 990 with a Great Bend M30 loader with a hay spear and bucket. The tractor has 6,500 hours, injection pump leaking and also the woman said they have to add hydro fluid and antifreeze sometimes. The tractor ran great, loader was quick and picked the tractor up. Besides the leaks, one rear rim was rusted around the valve stem. Also it comes with an allis chambers 6ft bushhog, a bushhog scrapper blade, 5ft landscape rake, and action drag chains. The woman’s husband passed away awhile ago and she is selling it, it sit for two years and started right up. She is wanting $5,000 for everything. Do you think this would be a good deal? Added some photos.

Thanks for pics I don't know about price, are you mechanically inclined? I hate to be mean to her, however ,
There is alot of fixing to be done, my guess may be about 1/2 that amount , repairs are expensive .
Possibly mostly cosmetic,, but leaks should be repaired. Quick tach loader and other tools helps .
If you need them. I hope other chime in.
They are tough tractors, i have a 995 DB and an 1190 Case / D B with loader, both are dependable.
I like them alot.

I’ve read that they are tough tractors, with all the attachments I figured I’d be paying about $3500 for the tractor, if it weren’t leaking and the rear rim was good I think that’d be a good deal, but not sure with those problems.

I offered $4,000 and she wouldn’t budge on the price, I don’t think she’ll come down on it.
I am not to fond of them so that is a bias. I would be like the old Paul Revere and raiders song GONE I'M MOVING ON! But if you want it pay the price I guess. For what its worth I called about an Allis B or C years ago woman wanted 6 grand. I said ok thank you and hung up!

I would be more concerned with the rim than anything else that you have shown.

Please consider the offer. A mower, Blade and a landscape rake with drag chains; Where I live those items are worth $1000 - plus unless junk.

A tractor that size with a name brand loader a Hay spear and a bucket even with some cosmetic issues is close to $5000.

It would be around $450 to have the rim fixed.

if the tractor didn’t have issues I would definitely buy it and the attachments, but it would be around $1,000 or more to fix everything on it.
