Gentlemen and ladies, I have read several posts, where the poster is quoting production numbers and other pertanent facts about Case Tractors. I think maybe I should have one of those books. I would like to ask Santa to bring it to me but do not know the correct title. Could you please post it for me? I need something to go with that lump of coal in my stocking. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. gobble

Full Steam Ahead has most of the production numbers through 1955. J I Case Agricultural and Construction Equipment 1956 - 1994 has the later stuff. 150 years of J I Case by Wendel has most of the serial numbers in the back of the book from 1869 to 1969. All 3 VERY good books.

Erb and Brumbaugh's "Full Steam Ahead" and Wendels "150 years of JI Case" are both excellent books. Being mostly interested in Pre WWII was really impressed by the depth of information in "Full Steam Ahead" so I tend to reccomend it while Wendel makes an excellent refernce. Won't go wrong with either.

You should be all set, the lump of Coal can keep you warm on the outside, and the CASE books will make you feel good on the inside. LOL.

Not sure about Wendels book. Thought they brought it back out in paperback again. When I got mine (off from Amazon) it was out of print. Maybe someone else know the status now. You actually need all three books.!!!!!

I have gotten all three books off Ebay for my father. He really enjoys "Full Steam Ahead" as it gives information about the company and why it did some of the crazy things it did. I know it isn't 100 accurate but it is still good to read.
