I was just wondering if a DC-4 Case has live power since it has a hand clutch?

the hand clutch on the 930's were on the first couple of years after the 900's, the orange round fender chain drive tractors had the hand clutch. i have never saw a hand clutch on any newer style square fender 8 speed tractor. and the foot clutch came out on the DC's on the last year of production. The hand clutch was available through end of production on the DC and the later 400. It was also on the 930 standard til end of production with foot clutch optional on the 930 and hand clutch optional on the 400. Im not sure which was standard on the DC.
I apologize . Mine isn't close enough to go look. It is hand clutch with live pto. RBYes it does. RB
They made the 6spd 930 til 66 or 67, after they went to the yellow tank and square fenders. And the 930 6 spd was available with either the hand clutch or foot clutch til the end of the 6 spd. The 8spd row crop did not have hand clutch as an option as far as I know.the hand clutch on the 930's were on the first couple of years after the 900's, the orange round fender chain drive tractors had the hand clutch. i have never saw a hand clutch on any newer style square fender 8 speed tractor. and the foot clutch came out on the DC's on the last year of production.
yes, but that is not what posted in post 7.They made the 6spd 930 til 66 or 67, after they went to the yellow tank and square fenders. Ive never heard of a dealer doing that, but the factory converted a bunch that were left overs. I believe they even took some back from dealers to convert as well.I was told some hand clutch dc were converted to foot clutch by dealers. To sell them and make them more modern.
it would be quite the job. gotta split the tractor and replace the pressure plate with the other style, then all different linkages and petal.Ive never heard of a dealer doing that, but the factory converted a bunch that were left overs. I believe they even took some back from dealers to convert as well.
I did not say the 930 til end of production, i said the 930 6spd or standard had the hand clutch. Case made both the 8spd row crop and the 6 spd standard at the same time til 67 I think. It is the standard, 6spd, that had the hand clutch or optional foot clutch.you said the foot clutch was optional till the end of 930 production, i dont even think the last 930's could even have a hand clutch as they were foot clutch.
I have a 67 930 6 spds with the big western fenders and hand clutch...son has one too.the hand clutch on the 930's were on the first couple of years after the 900's, the orange round fender chain drive tractors had the hand clutch. i have never saw a hand clutch on any newer style square fender 8 speed tractor. and the foot clutch came out on the DC's on the last year of production.
