Case DC clutch problem - resolved!

On 12/5 I posted about a stuck clutch problem with my Case DC. I’m happy to report the problem is resolved! I tried a number of the suggestions that were posted in response. What finally did the trick was jacking up the back of the tractor, starting in 4th gear, then depressing the clutch with the wheels spinning. It may have helped to run it for 30 minutes prior to be sure it was fully warmed up. In any case, I wanted to thank all who replied with suggestions and encouragement, namely Ron Sa, C. Amick, Fry, Jimmie D. Phelps, Nick in Kansas, Tommy Railsback, Tractorhank, 700 man, and Bob from Australia. (Apologies if I missed anybody.) You guys are great!
P.S. - I now have a block of wood under the clutch pedal so hopefully it doesn't get stuck again.

Glad to hear you got the clutch loose. You may have some sludge build up in the clutch housing making the problem worse.

Had to look at the tires before answering. The guy I bought it from put on new back tires just before he sold it so I never paid much attention to them. They are 13.6's if I read the numbers correctly. It's been a good tractor for me. I use it for pushing snow and pulling an occasional stump. It isn't the most handy thing and is starting to need more care than I'm qualified to give it, but it's better than no tractor at all!
