Case DC wide front

I just obtained all the pieces I was
missing to install an adjustable wide
front onto my DC-3. Before I install it I
need to do some work to it and I would
like to replace the tie rod ends. Does
anyone have a source for them? I already
had a good axle but a broken gooseneck but
today I got a complete wide front off a
late DC-3 that was in a fire before ending
up at a salvage yard. How hot do you think
it got to melt the pistons out of the
engine? Do you think the foot clutch is
salvageable? I am considering going back
for it later this summer.

Ill see if Don Rudolph will tell his story that will make you cringe. It is about an event with his fathers DC. In short she had run out of coolant, and was glowing He came upon her at dark, and she was still running .CM

I'd say it got pretty darn hot, that's a shame too

I think it even heated up the center section of the front axle enough to bend it a little, that's okay though because I have a good one and the this gooseneck looks fine.
